    HARVESTING

    SELECTING THE RIGHT AGE

Pandan leaves are best harvested when mature but still tender. This usually occurs when the plant is around two to three years old. Older leaves may become tough and lose some of their aromatic properties.

    TIME OF HARVEST

The ideal time to harvest pandan leaves is early morning. At this time, the leaves are their juiciest, ensuring the maximum flavor and fragrance.

    CUTTING TECHNIQUE

Harvesters use sharp knives or scissors to cut the leaves to avoid damaging the plant. Only a few leaves are harvested from each plant at a time to ensure the plant continues to thrive.

    HANDLING AND STORAGE

After harvesting, the leaves should be handled gently to prevent bruising or writing. They are often bundled together and kept in a cool, dry place to maintain their freshness and aroma.

  • RICH HISTORY OF PANDAN
